What is Squadding Software? DryFire USA has written a version of software to allow multiple Trapshooters to shoot together in a squad (hence the name Squadding Software). The original software, written by the inventor of the product in England, will only accomodate one shooter at a time. Because of requests from many of our USA customers, DryFire USA undertook the task of creating a version of software that would allow 1 to 5 shooters to form a squad and shoot together without touching the computer system or the DryFire equipment.

The above picture shows the screen of the computer monitor. Notice the five shooters are shown just above the sky. Once you have defined a Squad and every member of the squad has aligned their gun, you are ready to take your positions and click the start button. After every station, DryFire will interrupt the action, ask you to move, and give the squad scores. When the squad completes the fifth station, DryFire will announce the last station and the scores for the complete round.

After the round is over, you will have an opportunity to ask DryFire to print a copy of your information. In the detailed portion of the report, you will be able to see how close to dead center you were on each of the 25 targets. The summary information will give you averages and because DryFire knows exactly how far from dead center you were on all 25 shots, it will add these 50 numbers together and give you a number that represents "how far from perfect you were." This number can be used to break ties.
