History of the DryFire Versions
Version 1: Introduced in March of 2001. This gray colored single laser head system (characterized by a glass domed head cover) could be powered by four (4) batteries, controlled by a battery operated remote control unit, or plugged into house power and controlled by a Personal Computer via a Serial cable.

Version 2: Introduced in April of 2002. This refined single laser head system (which became the workhorse of the product line for four years) remained gray in color, gained manual release capabilities, and sported a thinner chassis because of the removal of the battery compartment. During its four-year product life, many, many software changes were made. All of these changes were compatible with the original Version 1 product.

Version 3: Introduced in June of 2006. The color was changed to British Racing Green to accentuate the major redesign in both hardware and software. Version 3 hardware and software are NOT COMPATIBLE with Version 1 and 2 and the Personal Computer connection was changed to USB (Universal Serial Bus). The major goal of this redesign was to create a Dual head laser system that could support simultaneous doubles (in all the shotgun disciplines) without creating a financial penalty for the single target user. Therefore, we sell both single and dual head systems and you will see pictures of both on our web site (as long as it is green in color it is a Version 3 unit).
