Your DryFire Home or Squad Pack comes with the “USA Friendly” software.

This software package has been designed for ease of use.  Even its name implies it has been developed to be friendly.  The software is supplied on a CD, which can be loaded by the wizard using just 4 clicks of the mouse.  After the software is loaded, you will plug in your DryFire unit and the operating system will install the USB driver.  Once these steps are completed (in less than 2 minutes) you are ready to enter the software and begin to configure your system.

The USA Friendly software can be described as being very versatile (it has layouts for trap, skeet, and sporting clays) and is intended to be used by one shooter at a time.  You can create multiple “Shooter’s Information” files, but only one shooter can be active at any given time.

When you take a shot, your computer screen will be used to give you a picture of the physical relationship between your shot cloud and the clay.  Then, shifting  your eyes to the upper right side of your computer screen (labeled  “Pointing Error”) you will find the distance from the center of the clay to the center of the shot cloud given in tenth of an inch.

Example:  Pointing Error 10.5 inches  

Then, to gain more information, look to the lower left portion of the screen to learn the following:

• How far in front of or behind the target you where
• How far above or below the target you where
• The distance from the muzzle of your gun to the clay
• The total time the clay was in the air
